Hagia Sophia Mosque

A 6th-century cathedral and its great dome

Consecrated in 537 under Emperor Justinian I, it was the largest church in Christendom for almost a thousand years. It became a mosque after 1453, a museum in 1934, and has been a working mosque again since 2020.
