The tomb of Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent
In the garden of the Süleymaniye Mosque
Sinan built this octagonal tomb in 1566, after the sultan died on campaign at Szigetvár. Inside are İznik tiles and a painted dome; Suleiman’s daughter Mihrimah and Sultans Suleiman II and Ahmed II also rest here.
